A pair of upholstered oak armchairs by E. Gomme Ltd. of High Wycombe, from their 'New Cromwellian' range, with solid arms on planked supports, c. 1935 (2).
E. Gomme Ltd. (1898 - 1992)
E. Gomme Ltd. was a renowned British furniture manufacturer founded by Ebenezer Gomme in High Wycombe. With the celebrated launch of their innovative G-Plan range in 1953, they gained national recognition and helped shape the evolution of British furniture design.
