A late 19th century ebonised twin pedestal desk by Edwards & Roberts, with inlaid decoration and brass mounts on each pedestal, with a tooled green leather top, stamped 'Edwards & Roberts Wardour St London'.
Edwards & Roberts
Edwards & Roberts (1845 - 1899) were leading London cabinet-makers and furniture dealers, renowned for finely crafted furniture in Georgian and French Revival styles. Based on Wardour Street, they were celebrated for their fine marquetry and inlay work, while also restoring, adapting, and dealing in earlier furniture for a distinguished clientele.
