An exceptional walnut stationery cabinet, of naval interest, by Parkins & Gotto, with a calendar caddy containing a full set of calendar cards and pocket watch holder, inkwells, matches, and supplied with Smythson of Bond Street stationery, with inset ivory labels and fitted drawer secured by a brass locking pin, with a campaign handle engraved 'Capt. Hotham' and a Bramah lock in working order with key, c. 1860.

Parkins & Gotto (c. 1845 - c. 1910) was a prestigious stationery and luxury goods retailer renowned for their exceptional craftsmanship. From their prominent Oxford Street showrooms, they supplied the Victorian elite and were appointed Court Stationers in 1893.
